America's Cup: Team New Zealand happy with new boat's impressive foiling on debut sail

Team New Zealand were understandably happy as their distinctive new America’s Cup boat made an impressive debut on the Waitemata Harbour on Friday.

It was towed out from the team’s base about 9.30am Friday and got up on its foils while under tow during the planned test programme of sailing on the Waitematā Harbour.

The radical new boat was then moved around North Head and after a few teething problems, it was powering out of the water under its own sail power and had a productive six and a half hours.
